Epoxy Grout is hygienic, stain-resistant, 3 component epoxy resin-based grout with a high degree of resistance to chemical attack, abrasion and impact. The cured grout does not transfer taints to food products, prevents the entry of bacteria or dirt and is easily maintained in a sterile condition. Epoxy Grout is designed for grouting glazed tiles, mosaic, vitrified and fully vitrified tiles, ceramic tiles, industrial tiles, granites, marbles & other natural stones, etc.

Description

weberepox easy is a two-component, easy to use, epoxy-based tile adhesive and grout. It is suitable for all types of tiles and stones on the floor and wall. It is especially recommended for hygiene sensitive areas and also areas which require sterile conditions.

When components of Weberepox easy are mixed, it forms a smooth, creamy & thixotropic paste, which makes it easy to mix, easy to apply, easy to clean and easy to maintain. At the same time, it also provides high mechanical and chemical resistance properties. The resultant is, an easy to use, high durability grout, which is available in an attractive range of colours
About this products

• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment’s (PPE) before mixing.
• Take 4 parts resin (component A), 1-part hardener (component B), 4: 1 by weight (3.75: 1 by volume)
• Mix the components thoroughly for 2-3 minutes to get a homogeneous paste and consistent color.
• Prolonged mixing is to be avoided as it traps air and shortens pot life.
• The mixed workable grout can be used for up to 80 minutes at 250 C.
• Wash tools immediately with water before the epoxy hardens. It is very difficult to remove after it has hardened.
• In case of mixing with a mechanical mixer a slow 100 rpm mechanical mixer is recommended.
• No water to be added in the mix.

Things to Consider 

• Keep the working area protected for 48 hours after application. For swimming pools it is required to be kept protected for 72 hours.
• Weberepox easy can be easily cleaned with normal water. Harsh chemicals are not recommended & should be avoided.
• Performance and durability would depend on the maintenance of the installed area.
• For any household acid cleaning, it is to be done only after 10-14 days of application.

Application Instructions:

Surface Considerations : 

• Before commencing grouting the adhesive bed must be set. Clean the joints of all adhesive and all other containments such as efflorescence, laitance, dirt and other loose material using a grout raker.  
• All joints should be made wet with clean water.  
• Ensure the joints are dry before grouting

Movement Joints: These should be provided in accordance with BS 5385: part 1 - 5 and may be filled with the appropriate flexible sealant. Intermediate floor joints should be reinforced with brass or stainless steel. Use stainless steel where hygiene is essential.

Mixing: Take pre-measured water in a clean mixing vessel. Add WIDE JOINT GROUT in the vessel and mix until a lump free smooth paste of uniform colour is obtained. If an electric drill mixer is used blend on a slow speed (less than 300rpm). Avoid entraining air by mixing at too high speed or by over mixing. Do not reconstitute the mixed grout by adding more water as this will reduce the final strength.
Application:

• Using a grout float or rubber squeegee compact the mixed grout into the joints ensuring that they are completely filled. Work in small areas and remove as much excess grout from the tile surface as possible. Do not exceed the working time of the grout.
• Allow about 15 minutes for the grout to dry. Using a damp sponge, clean the tile/stone surface diagonally to the joint lines.
• Finally wash down with clean water and sponge to remove any dried grout film from the tile/stone surface. 
• Once the grout has sufficiently set within the joints, polish the tile/stone surface with a clean cloth. Alternatively give a final wash down with clean water using a dampened sponge. 

Note:

A. Care should be taken to avoid staining tile/stone during grouting. This is especially applicable when grouting unglazed floor tiles/stone, quarry textured surface, etc. Check the potential risk of staining by applying the grout to a few tile/stone in a small trial area.
B. WIDE JOINT GROUT are water-resistant but not impervious to water. EPOXY GROUT is impervious to water.
C. The addition of ADMIX GT 1 to WIDE JOINT GROUT will enhance adhesion to tile/stone edges, water resistance and improves flexibility. Mix 100 ml of ADMIX GT 1 with 100 ml of water. Stir well, then add 1 kg of WIDE JOINT GROUT and mix until we get the lump free smooth paste. 
Cleaning

Tools and containers may be cleaned using clean water when the adhesive is still fresh. The hardened adhesive can be removed from tools mechanically.
Precautions: 

Keep out of reach of children. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eyes/face protection. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of clean water. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
